True Beauty through Inner Strength – The Life of a Grad-Student
It is difficult to find your way in the world, especially today. There are so many challenges for young people. Jobs are hard to come by and they pay little. Higher education costs are through the roof. More and more 20-somethings are being forced to move back home just so they can make their incredibly high college loan payments. Yet some people are making it work. Through all of this adversity, young people are pushing onward and making waves.
One of these amazing young people was the focus of my Beauty Revived session. She is a doctoral student in a School Psychology program, and she wants to make the world a better place and help at-risk students. When I asked her to do this photo shoot, she told me, “But I don’t take good pictures”. That statement is one of the most difficult for me to hear as a photographer. It tells me that you don’t feel beautiful, and you should, always. She is the model of Beauty Revived. She is strong, independent, and highly intelligent; she is determined to succeed, and I have no doubt that she will.
About the Photographer:
I live in Pittsburgh, PA with my supportive husband and our spoiled cat. I’ve been in business for just over a year, and I’ve loved every second of it. My goal in business has been to capture more than just faces, I want to capture my clients’ personalities, quirks, emotions, and relationships.
