Tell me why this picture represents your #beautyimperfected.
This picture is my life. I like to think I’m living a glamorous life, don’t we all? But really, it’s chaotic. I’m a Mom, a boss and a wife–things get crazy 95% of the time, but I love it. I wouldn’t change it for the world. Most days I’m wearing my boss hat at the same time as my Mom hat and it feels a little like this picture. Work while the babe is covered in food from head to toe.
What makes you beautiful?
This one was a hard one for me, mostly because I’m pretty critical of myself. I think what makes me beautiful, without sounding totally conceited, would be that I’m compassionate. I would drop anything in an instant to help someone. I give everything my all and I try my hardest to be a good person. I want so badly to spread kindness and love to the world around me that sometimes I get a little overwhelmed, but that’s just me. I think that trait is what makes me beautiful.
If you could teach your daughter one real beauty tip, what would it be?
Be the best version of yourself. We have a picture hanging in our house that says this and I can’t say it enough. If Blake only remembers one thing that I taught her I would want it to be this (besides her knowing how much I love her!). That’s my best beauty tip. No make up, article of clothing or hair dye job is going to help how you feel about yourself and act towards others–that’s what beauty really is.
