Meet Isabelle-Michelle England Photography
Meet Isabelle. She is beauty revived.
I have known Belle since she was three years old. She is now 12. She just happened to go to the same daycare as my oldest son. It’s funny to me how little moments in your life can lead to huge impacts. I would never have known how this adorable little blonde in glasses would affect our lives. The two of them have remained close friends all these years, often in the same class, and always on the same hockey team. Our families spend a lot of time together, whether it’s at the rink or at our house when they drop by and it turns into a late night, school night hang out. If she has somewhere special she needs to be she always stops by my house first so I can curl her hair. She doesn’t know it but as a Mom of 3 boys those moments are so special to me.
When I received the notice that I would participate in this campaign, I told my son all about it. His first reply was, “You should do it about Belle!”…. Of course I should!
She’s that type of kid, the type that knows what you need a little more than just what you want. She is effortless in her friendship. She may not be changing the world on a grand scale but she is changing the lives of those of us that know and love her. She is an ordinary girl with an extraordinary heart. Maybe she’d show up on your doorstep with a hockey stick to replace one that broke, maybe she’d bring you a hat because it had your favorite teams logo on it. She knows you’re having a hard day and shows up to give you a hug. Last year my youngest started hockey. He was 4 at the time. She gave him one of her jersey’s that she had long outgrown and it quickly became his favorite. She would show up early for her own practice just to watch him for a bit. You should have seen the smile on his face to see her at the glass. You see, Belle somehow has a deep understanding of what it means to be a friend. Putting your friends and family first and showing up when they need you is important. She genuinely cares about how others feel. She is someone we could all learn from. Especially in today’s busy world where we are all so busy, being tugged in a million different directions.
Belle has been raised to believe she can do and be anything she wants. She loves sports and plays right along side the boys. She spends her summer hanging out with her Pup at the wharf where he’s teaching her the ins and outs of fishing. She’s just one of those kids. She easy going and up for anything. I have never known her to say she couldn’t do something.
The night of our session it was more of a hang out than a formal thing. My kids came, her sister, her mother and her grandfather, and another friend and his mother. The sun was starting to set and the wind was whipping around her golden hair. She was shy and nervous as any child that age would be. It’s not at all the norm for her to be, or want to be, the center of attention. In between shots she would run over and kick the soccer ball with the boys or go and see what ocean treasures the younger ones had found. That’s just her, that’s her story. There is no way of telling it completely because she is just getting started. I can say without a doubt that she is destined for big things in her life. I can’t wait to see the woman she becomes.
Belle, know wherever you go and whatever you do there is a large group of us standing behind you, cheering you on. You won’t always be picked for the team or win first place but YOU are the only YOU there is. Follow your heart. You’re gold Bellie!!!
