Meet Madison. She is Beauty Revived.
Madison is supercalifragilisticexpialidocious. I use this impossible arrangement of letters to describe her because it would be impossible to encompass her in just any everyday word…she is so many things, all at once!
A family friend, Kelly, worded it perfectly; she said that “Madison is a one of a kind woman…She handles herself with grace and kindness. She shines bright for anyone she meets and thrives on making them feel truly important! She truly knows how to make someone at any age feel valued and respected.” I like to joke that Madie has been 30 years old since she turned 10, but it seems so true! The old soul that thrives inside of her, with such grace and wisdom far beyond her true age, is a pleasure to have in my life.
Madie is gorgeous, stitch-in-your-side hilarious, empathetic, witty, passionate, joyful, respectful, giving and loving – all of these, everyday for everyone.
Senior counselor, Mrs. Wueller, said that “she is the first to volunteer to help out any student in need. I had a student that did not have anyone to eat lunch with for weeks and once Madison realized this student did not have anyone to sit with she invited them to eat lunch with her friends. She is always the one to go the extra mile to ensure that all students feel included. She is a member of TRIBE where she helped welcome all incoming freshmen and loved helping them feel at home. She can always make something positive out of any situation.”
To name a few of the things Madison is involved in to make a difference: she is currently treasurer of National Honor Society, President of Deca, Student Body Vice President, Yearbook Editor and Class Treasurer. Along with that she also tutors in the community and is involved in at-risk outreach.
One of her teachers, Mr. Ravey, said “Madison is organized, a self-starter, dependable and compassionate. Her love for others is self-evident in all that she does.” The teacher of her peer-tutoring class, Mrs. Davis, wonderfully put it by saying that, “Madison’s true beauty allows others to find beauty within themselves.”
She is constantly chasing sunlight because the day is never long enough. Madison has always been one of those unique few who you have to run behind to keep up with. Sometimes, I can’t help but sit back and think how lucky I am that I get to witness this beautiful young woman’s journey. She is going to move the world one day with all her love and I get a front row seat to the show. One of the most important things that Madison has taught me, just by living it everyday, is that you have to love life while it is happening…take every moment for all it has to give you and improve yourself on the other side of whatever the outcome.
Madison is always teaching me something new, making my life a little louder and all the more exciting to live.
