Meet Marie-Megan Marie Photography
To know Rose is to know grace. Rose is truly the strongest woman and mother I have ever met. Not only is she breathtakingly beautiful, but she has the kindest soul. Rose sees the beauty and potential in everyone. Although my friend has seen the truest heartbreak, she remains a positive light to those around her. I admire her, I look up to her. She’s a teacher, a role-model, a listener. Rose is an inspiration to all women. Soon after the loss of her beautiful son, Lincoln Savage Soons, Rose wrote the the following letter. She is ready to share it with the world.
To whom this may concern,
I’m not a writer, I’m a mom. Even if this letter is never read, I will re-read it to myself as many times as I need.
Here is my story. Lincoln Savage Soons was born on Nov 1st. He was handsome to say the least. It’s hard to admit, he looked like my husband. I was a rock star in the delivery room, and if I had thought about it sooner I would have worn a wonder woman crown. My husband was terrified, you could clearly see it on his face. With all the chaos he rose to the occasion on what I am sure was the best day of his life. The smell of a new born baby is the most amazing thing I had ever encountered. I was beaming and I was in love.
We had 7 beautiful months together. We laughed and cried. I grew more as a person in that short amount of time than I have in my entire life. My husband and I were utterly infatuated with our chunky infant.
Lincoln passed away on June 7th from Unknown causes. His funeral was flooded out the door with friends and family. I felt closer to my husband then on our wedding day. We were bulletproof. This story is not meant to make you sad but to teach myself and others how important unconditional love is.
My husband and I are striving to make new memories in a new home. Not to replace our son but to help rebuild our lives. I am also due in July to have my second baby boy. We are over the moon with happiness and we are ready to fall in love all over again.
