Meet Yamillet. She is Beauty Revived.
Yamillet is a senior at Eagle Pass High School. She is a part of the student council and was crowned Miss Eagle Pass of 2015. Yamillet radiates with kindness and true beauty that people her age admire. She has a beautiful soul that speaks to everyone that knows her. Yamillet has the motivation from her family, to strive for the best and to always have a heart of joy. Her family are her biggest support system, they always push her to become a better person every day.
Yamillet has been involved in student council in her 4 years of high school. She truly enjoys helping out her school and her community any way she can. City clean ups to the yearly feast of sharing, she is there with a huge smile on her face. It is something that she is passionate about and it has humbled her greatly. Knowing that she made a difference in someone’s life has given her the feeling of true happiness. That is something that she wants to feel everyday of her life and she is always trying to achieve that mission. Her peers view her as a natural leader, but she sees herself as a regular girl that loves to help everyone anyway she can.
This year, Yamillet was crowned Miss Eagle Pass. So far, it has only been an amazing experience for her. She has gotten to meet many people that do extraordinary things for the city of Eagle Pass. The title has helped her become more self-confident and she loves every minute of representing her beautiful city. Her genuine heart has given her the opportunity to help her community. Eagle Pass is a border town and has many small businesses. One of her many passions is to help small business growth. In the past, she has modeled for the boutiques around town to showcase the many options that they offer. She believes that small business needs as much help as they can get in order to succeed while competing with retail stores in town. She is always urging her community to shop small and local.
A life plan has been in the making ever since she had a life changing experience. This was the day her grandmother went into a coma after a life threatening illness. The feeling of not being able to help her made her vulnerable. That experience made her realize what she wanted to do with her life. After high school, her plan is to major in biology and start a career in the medical field. Her passion for helping others and her love of science equally contribute to her dream of becoming a doctor.
Yamillet’s experiences have equipped her with the mental strength and perseverance to overcome each and every obstacle that has ever and will stand in her way. Her concern for others, virtue and her heart of gold will help her guide her on the right path like it has always been. Yamillet has had many blessings and she is truly grateful for each and every one. It has only given her the enthusiasm and the willingness to do more great things in her life in the present and in her future.
